NFT brand Doodles collaborates with McDonald's to launch holiday themed physical and digital collectibles

NFT brand Doodles has partnered with fast food giant McDonald's to launch a holiday themed event that combines physical and digital experiences.

Starting from November 18th, McDonald's US stores will launch 100 million McCafe Holiday Cups featuring Doodles designs. At the same time, consumers who purchase McCafe drinks through the McDonald's app can also receive a set of redemption codes, which can be used to redeem McDonald's and Doodles' joint digital collection gift package on the online consumer platform Doodles Stoodio. It includes streaming tickets for the trial episode of the Doodles animation "Dulllsville and the Doodleverse", as well as limited edition McDonald's digital clothing for Doodles virtual characters.

In a statement sent to The Block, Tariq Hassan, McDonald's Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, said, "Going beyond the scope of Web3, we chose Doodles because they are a driving force for cultural change, and they transcend beyond digital assets - they are an entertainment brand with a fearless community, and we can't wait to interact with them. More importantly, we want to bring this brand to more people across the United States

NFT brand has recently begun to gradually establish cooperation with non Web3 brands. For example, Wal Mart, an American retail company, sold Pudgy Penguins toy series of NFT project in stores in February this year. The collaboration between Doodles and McDonald's not only represents an important partnership with globally renowned food and beverage brands, but also demonstrates that NFT brands are still striving to enter the mainstream market after months of sluggish NFT trading volume.

The data panel of The Block shows that the trading volume of Doodles reached 3.51 million US dollars from November 10th to November 17th, an increase of 682% from the previous week.
